Albert Zamora has never known life without music.

The Corpus Christi-born composer and musician can recall the treasured childhood memories of the many evenings he spent with his parents and siblings sitting around a campfire singing songs and playing instruments.

While music may have been a form of relaxation and recreation for most of the Zamora brood, for Albert, it turned out to be his life's true calling.

"I had no doubt about music as a career," Zamora said.

"I took it very seriously right from the beginning."

Zamora began performing professionally at the age of four, singing at local church festivals, parties and special events.

That first taste of the spotlight was all it took for him to make music the primary focus of his life.

His enthusiasm, not to mention his fledgling talent, drove him to learn a wide variety of instruments.

Zamora started playing the guitar, but he also proved he possesse
