Ragas is an Associate Professor and Academic Director of the PR & Advertising graduate program in the College of Communication at DePaul University. An award-winning researcher, teacher and faculty adviser, he holds a Ph.D.
in mass communication from the University of Florida, and an M.S. in management and B.S. in business administration (marketing concentration), both from the University of Central Florida. His research focuses on the effectiveness and performance of investor relations and corporate communication, including business acumen and financial literacy education within the profession, and mass media processes and effects in corporate and political settings, including agenda building and agenda setting.
